Plaza Midwood Neighborhood Association's Board of Directors Public wrote to Library's Board on May 21, 1980, to encourage them not to move the East Branch Library from its Commonwealth and Thomas Avenue location. Their efforts were largely successful until, years later, size restrictions forced the library to move into a new building.
