Engine Number 8 of the Charlotte Fire Department located at Station 8 in Plaza Midwood

This is the current Fire Engine located in Plaza Midwood at Station 8. Only recently did it become the only engine there, since the efforts to keep two companies at Station 8 had been successful for many years. But, according to one of the Fire Fighters, the Plaza Midwood Home Owners Association is not as strong as the original Neighborhood Association and could not prevent the reduction. At least the second engine company, 64, only moved to another station and did not become redundant.
