Description

Charlotte was serviced by streetcars until 1938. One of the many routes was along Central Avenue into Plaza Midwood. This photograph shows North Tryon Street and the many businesses that populated the downtown business district, including Bon Marie's, Kress', and Ivey's retail stores.
