Plaza-Midwood Historic District Sign

This is a picture of the existing Fire Station Number 8 in Plaza-Midwood. This is actually the same building that the fire fighters used in 1980 and fought the city to keep both engine companies.

The photograph shows the entrance to the old East Branch Library. The entrance is still in tact, complete with the book depository. The structure remains at the corner of Commonwealth and Thomas Avenue.
