This is a newspaper clipping from October 22, 1982, announcing the Miracle Mile Street Fair. The purpose of this fair was to remember Plaza-Midwood's past and its then current revitalization efforts.

This flyer was distributed prior to and on the day of the 1982 Miracle Mile Street Fair. The front is an itinerary with an accompanying map on the back.

This map of Charlotte shows the streetcar routes through the city. The streetcar ran from the Square up Central Avenue before turning left on The Plaza. The line ended at Parkwood Avenue.

A photograph of the map shows that the Plaza Midwood area was taking its modern shape. Much development had yet to occur beyond Morningside and Masonic drives. Notice Independence Boulevard runs through the Chantilly neighborhood to the south.

In 1983 the Plaza Midwood Neighborhood Association held a Heritage Celebration. This was a ticket for admission.
